John Hill didn't act!

The South Australian Minister for Animal Welfare, John Hill refused to acknowledge the indisputable video evidence collected from several rodeos over the past year.

John Hill, argued SA has the toughest regulations for rodeos in Australia! He referred to the deceitful ‘Standards for the Care and Treatment of Rodeo Livestock’ written by the rodeo fraternity. This Standard protects rodeo animal abusers

John Hill's office allowed perpetrators of animal cruelty to reoffend by issuing a permit for a Marrabel 2005 rodeo despite RSPCA laying charges against the organiser of Marrabel 2004 event for animal cruelty and breaches to permit conditions. Subsequently we attended the Marrabel 2005 rodeo and filmed further breaches!

John Hill said rodeos are a valuable link between city and country lifestyles. This is not a ‘city versus country’ debate! Yet he is highlighting a clear case of double standards... In the city, if a person abuses an animal, it is taken from them and they are no longer allowed to own an animal. When a ‘country’ rodeo organiser abuses an animal, it is condoned and they continue abusing the animals over and over—publicly—for entertainment!

John Hill forgot that he was accountable to the public which elected him. Taxpayers fund the running of the 'Office of Animal Welfare' therefore it is held accountable for preventable animal cruelty like organised rodeos. Here are some of the questions being asked of the 'Office of Animal Welfare' Is the OoAW a farce?

The burning question now is, will Gail Gago be any better as Minister for Animal Welfare?
